Journey into the world of the whales and experience an exciting close encounter with one of the world’s largest marine mammals aboard Australia’s most luxurious whale watching vessel Spirit of Migloo.
Within 20 minutes of departure you will be assisting our crew to find Humpback Whales by scanning the horizon for the famous “blow” – a great exhalation of warm breath that turns to vapour as it hits the cool sea air.
From June to November every year thousands of Humpback Whales frequent the Gold Coast during an epic 5,000km migration journey between the feeding grounds of Antarctica and the breeding grounds of Tropical Queensland.
Thankfully, these beautiful and endearing creatures are now fully protected in Australian waters after being virtually wiped out by the Australian whaling industry in the 1950s. Sea World Whale Watch tours see an ever increasing number of mothers and calves.
